breaking the cycle of self diminishment

I went to the Broad Museum today. It was a really nice time. I don't go out too much, as you guys well know,

but it was a lovely, refreshing, stimulating time to be in the city with all the beautiful architecture, gardens,

and people. The people seemed so beautiful and happy. It made me self diminish myself. At first I was aware of it and

then I forgot my senses when my friend came and we went through the Keith Haring Show it was fun

and amazing. I came home and on the drive home I seemed usurped by this will to self diminish but I realize

I gotta break that habit - that pattern. It was a fun time - so I appreciate that. It makes me want to do more

stuff like that and it makes me think of what arfie says "Don't compare your insides with Peoples' outsides" - as well

my therapist has talked about how out of 100% of people you see and think they have a great life...only about 10% of them actually do. The remaining 90% certainly don't. I'm not living for schadenfreud

but in the process of opening up to the world, I need to return to my personal vector in life and just embrace

and love my life for what it is. :-) Break that cycle!!

Break that cycle is right!
I’m working on some similar things, a bit different but in the same vein of battling my feelings of inferiority. Mine is due to multiple emotional traumas, so it does help to understand where some of those root causes are so it’s easy to separate when those feelings come up.

Hugs, and glad you had a good museum day!!
