Break Time.
Break Time!
Remember The Flintstones? Did you watch it growing up?
Loved the whistle, the quarry guy would stand there, holding the string tied to the bird.......staring at his watch- waiting for Quittin' Time........pull the string and that bird sounded like a huge steam whistle blowin'!
The second Fred would hear it blow he would leap up, slide down the dinosaur's back, land in his car and take off.
I just did a bunch of honey do's and that's how I felt, ready for the break whistle......now if only I could slide down the dinosaur's tail........Fred was a great stuntman.......I need to study his technique some more.
So the dishwasher is humming, the washing machine is spinning, got the deposit slip filled out, ready to go to the bank.......got the chair cushion boxed up ready to return........made french toast for breakfast today........a nice splurge over my usual yogurt. Very tasty!
Yesterday I got the bright idea to play in the dirt.......potted several plants for the patio. I had a dilemma, decided to pot the plants by the garage door (at the front of the house), so I wouldn't have to lift the bags of potting soil.......now all I have to do is wait until my body feels better, then I can lift the pots into the wheel barrow and give them a ride to the back patio. WHY am I telling you this? Cause it's part of the way life rolls here. Gotta do things in stages. Gotta figure out the best way cause the body operates differently. The pain that comes with bending and the pain that comes after the bending is not our friend. I want to do.......I keep doing........we all gotta pick our battles and take our time.
I still haven't changed the filters......hanging my head. Shame shame miss sparrow. I dragged the air purifier filter box into the house.........maybe tomorrow I can wrestle it open. The upstairs filter needs a kid to stop by.
The air is so thick, humid...........heavy. The unusual snowfall yesterday is going to bring a lot of rain our way this week-end. They predict several inches.............hope anyone hit with May snow is doing alright..........May snow........how incongruous does that sound? My sister in Iowa was planning a picnic........snowballs fights weren't on the planned itinerary. Gracious.................so weird!
Gonna take a break........glad to be making progress on my honey do list........hope you're having a nice day........take care!

You certainly are making progress. Doing things in steps is a great way to approach activity.
I remember the Flintstones! I can hear the theme song loud and clear. Maybe you can slide down something else or just slide down a dinosaur in your mind. There is a theory that if you imagine an activity like you are there with all your senses involved it is like you did it. Imagining exercising when you can\'t was the goal of the article.
Look what I found

thanks for the clip....................sweet! lots of memories......yabba dabba doo!
I guess Fred was such a good stunt man because he was drawn that way! You know how cartoons are - one minute they\'re smashed flat as a pancake, the next minute they\'re back to running around. DO NOT attempt Flintstone stunts at home.....I totally understand your step by step way of doing things. I\'m always afraid I\'m going to forget one of the steps because they are so spread out over time. Glad you could play in the dirt today. Happy Friday!
Yay, sounds like fun! I do remember the Flintstones. There\'s a guy on the news that my DH says looks like Barney Rubble. LOL. That was a great show. You\'re getting stuffs done! Yay! good! yabba dabba doo is right huh? love that saying...thanks for the flashback :) xo
I LOVED The Flintstones!! LOL....Barney and Betty! Fred and WILMA!! Such fun. The TV had such good, clean wholesome stuff on when we were kids. Honestly. I can\'t stand to watch the crap on the boob tube these days.
Good girl for doing what you can, when you can on your honey do list. Even better that you\'ll wait for some younger feller to come help you with the other stuff!!!
Snowball fights in May? Odd....but, this is the world in which we live, we iz resonisble for what is has become. The Lord did his part just fine, hey??
You be good now, ya hear?? Love ya!
The Flintstones - definitely a favorite of this old boy. Actually Pebbles & Bam-Bam remind me of my twin grandkids. Also I loved the way they made use of some of those animals back then.
Like the rest sure glad you are getting some things done on your to do list. Just take it easy & do what you can when you can - that is all any of us can do.
I loved The Flintstones as well...I wish I could do Betty Rubles laugh!
Breaks and pacing yourself is a Great way to get things done...in stages.
I like your outlook,Serce.Doing stuffs in stages gives your body time to regroup.
