brave enough or wise enough to take the dip

I researched volunteer opportunities for myself. There's one

around the corner from here. It's pretty straight forward. I don't know

where it will lead, if it will lead anywhere or if it will be fulfilling.

Part of me must learn to just let go and follow through with it.

I have heard the phrase 'let go and let God.' I don't know - I mean

maybe if I pray about doing the volunteer work, I will feel better about

doing something, a venture forward and just whatever happens, happens.

I volunteered at the California Wildlife Center a while back. I left after 

a short while.

I think I am starting to learn that this 'going through the motions' part is

really important. I can't always 'feel' good about what I am doing. Sometimes

I just need to 'do it.' Like going to work or like having a goal here on my own.

I twist myself in a bunch in the aspiration that I am building on my life - but

I think that's just it - it's all an unknown - and whatever I do I AM building on my life

and even if what I volunteer at is a low functioning thing - maybe I can use the same

outlook that I do with work, in that I am going to do the best damn job possible

and it will be about a job well done.
