Boxing Day

Boxing day is nearly over and both today and Christmas day were really happy ones. This morning I woke up and realised I have discovered true joy within myself. Had a busy afternoon with my son having friends around for a play date. But at no time did I feel like I was missing having Andrew in my life or wonder what Christmas would have been like if we had still being together. I was dreading this week but it was nowhere as bad.
 
I am not sure where things are going with BV. After saying our goodbyes last Friday after he came back and said he didn't think he could commit to supporting me in Jacob's care, he suddenly text me on Christmas Eve. After a couple of texts I took the bull by horns and asked him if he wanted to meet and discuss what happened between us. He agreed to meet in the New Year. Then yesterday I text him to wish him merry Christmas and thhis morning he text me to say he had read my blog. I asked if he wanted to drop by lunch, he said no which was fine with me given I had Jacob. We agreed to meet on the 2nd. I feel a bit unsure of this toing and froing not knowing where we are going with it. Have to wait one more week to find out.
 
On the good news front, I finally made the spice mix according to my mum's recipe and cooked a chicken curry with it. I am finally back to eating proper meals.
May have to take my son out of the house tomorrow after two car free days with no money spent.
