boring bits for me.

i get that it was time for most of you to bid adieu to DS.......but i still need to come here to write.

just for me, sometimes record thoughts, today it's to record symptoms.  i ate a snack last night.....a variety of flavors of popcorn ......my pain levels went way up so i finally took two pain pills.  about an hour later i felt better, but i was very nauseous so i took an anti nausea med.  the nausea worsened and then whammo........vomited a couple of time back to back.

ugh.  went to bed fighting the nausea and wondering how i could manage the cpap equip......i laid there praying for a cessastion of topsy turvy tumminess.  finally fell asleep......woke up several times last night.  first night of disruptive sleep......big fat bummer drag baby.  each time i fell back asleep, but felt queasy and rough today.

had toast and jello for breakfast.  then later on had some ramen.......now i'm sipping a cup of tea and put a chicken pot pie in the oven to bake.  takes at least an hour to bake.  i took two naps today, each time sleeping an hour and a half, still have an unhappy tummy.

yesterday before i felt all sickity sick i decided to make an old recipe but use donuts.  i got some powdered sugar donuts at the store, but they had a day old taste........so i diced them, added cream, vanilla and eggs......and half the sugar.....let that soak in for ten minutes then covered the pudding with brown sugar & butter dabs.......and some lovely crunchy walnuts.

served myself some with a dollop of whipped cream.  it was very powder sugary......tasty but didn't have the solid consistency of bread pudding, it was too soft/almost foamy.......again tasty but missing the texture i also really love.

i also roasted two steaks in the oven.  i know, roasted steak......but i didn't have the zip to broil them as usual......so i tossed them in the oven with sliced potato, mushrooms, and a mushroom sauce......let that roast for a nice long time.  then during the last hour i made some gently slow cooked baby carrots on the stovetop with some brown sugar.  this time I did NOT overcook them, they were soft but not muuuuush.  yay me!

my neck is stiff, sore a combo of cervical issues and sinus issues and swollen glands......the trivecta.

i've been watching a progem called 7 days out........it's on netflix.  it's big events and what happens in the week before the big event.  so far i've watched one about the biggest dog show at Madison Square Gardens, one about the largest restaurant in NYC reopening after a major renovation(known for being the best in the world), one about bringing the Casini down after circling Saturn for the last two decades...........one about the Kentucky Derby.....Promises Fulfilled won all three, the Derby, the Preakness and what is the other one called......?  dunno.

so far they've all been good........i need to lie down, so nauseous.  blurgh.  keeping in touch with me is important, boring at times, but important.  good report overall.........dull but ok.  lol, see me later alligator.

Sorry to hear you are having tummy troubles. I find that harder to cope with than a lot of other things. I'll be praying you feel better soon and can tolerate normal food again soon. I don't eat steak often, but when I do, I pan fry it. Something I saw a fictional character doing on tv, and it looked so good I decided to give it a try. There are some great recipes online for pan fried steak which have helped me do it properly. I'm making myself hungry just thinking about it! The show you are watching on Netflix sounds interesting. I'm watching a lot of old movies - they are like comfort food for me during the long days of winter. I don't get out much and I need familiar, pleasant things to stay sane. I can watch them without having to engage much of my brain, because they are so familiar, but watching them is like being wrapped up in a nice comfy afghan.

I get the tummy troubles. So many things can set that off. I watch a lot of Korean dramas on Netflix. Some of them are pretty interesting. Love you.
