boogie

lately it seems God is showing me who I really am. I can think or feel that I am more than I really am at times and then, I get a glimpse of the reality and I fall back down to earth.
I heard, on the radio a moment ago, a person with terminal cancer talk about the mindset of
'what you would do, how things would be' 'If Only" things were different. I find this so much a part of my daily routine. I don't lament so much but I do think of how great it would be "if only" I had the wherewithall, the money, the health, the strength, the talent.  I think if I had those things, I would probably have a different set of problems to deal with (not that I wouldn't accept them) but peoples' lives are never carefree.
I see myself in these moments of hyper reality a man like a soldier who is ragged from so much fighting. It throws my mood downward and yet it's important to pick up again and keep developing my world, my thing with all the elements I have.  It's good to take care and joy in it. A friend called his life's work his "boogie" - I like that. It's time to get back to "my boogie." :)
