bling! bling!
so today my friend took me shopping. don't have that much extra to spend til the big d is done (I am cautious) but all my jewelry was bought by stbx,. I needed something to wear for me. I still kept some of the more expensive jewelry for myself. not because he bought it but because I really really love it. The others pieces i hocked and may do so with some others. anyway after I put the old rings (a birthstone he bought me and my mother's ring that includes his birthstone along with mine and my 2 sons) in my purse and put the new rings on...well, let me tell you.,It was like I finally took the final shackle off me and felt liberated all the way. simple little thing like that. I like jewelry. I love wearing it. Not a lot. just a ring on each hand. but didnt want anything on left that even remotely looked like a wedding band or wedding set. and nothing flashy. simple is me. but They do look nice. <3

If that\'s what floats your boat, then DO IT and feel good about it. I still have to laugh when the now-X tried to claim some of the jewelry he had given me as gifts as divisible marital property. What an ass! Too bad for him that I knew Maryland Divorce law as well as my attorney by the time the whole shooting match was over. I donated my wedding rings to a local charity -- Days End Horse Rescue -- and HOPED he would find out. He always thought that was stupid and had a FIT when I had made them one of the benefactors in my Will. All the more reason for me to bequeath them a LARGER portion of my estate after I was divorced. Good for you!
kathi I want to be you! You have such spunk! I did at one time and I feel it returning little by little. My stbx works out of maryland. company called wmmt in white marsh. his kids live in florida (ft. myers, lehigh acres round there) and he lives in west virginia. we (my sons and I) live in ohio. all over the place arent we? lol
