This song is so reflective of the heavy burdens we carry.....and yet it gifts me with this lightness of being, this happy light that shines through the music and the lyrics
A few hours ago I woke in such pain. Mind boggling and lonely......I prayed for relief, sleep.......the pain shifted to electrical shocks. I gingerly moved and forced myself to sit up, to stretch, to feel the soreness in search of relief. It was hard.
I got more rest, woke and realized my body was quiet. The onslaught had subsided......felt miraculous.
So in honor of these blessings & because of the cessation of the pain storm I was able to go outside---- chased a thousand and one leaves with the leaf blower.
The air was sweet.......delicious........sometimes I forget their is an outside. Living in a bubble is odd, separates me from life. But today I am ok, alright, happy, content......relaxed. Not going to overdo it no matter the temptation. I don't want to set off the pain .....the pain that pretzels, twists, breaks, hurts and drags me into the mist. NOT TODAY!
Celebrating this glorious day................!!!!!!!!!!!

Ruthie - so good to hear from you. sure hope you have some improvement from your pain if only ever so slight - I know as I wish the same thing. At least I am on cloud 9 today as a result of my grandson - Carter. His little 8 & 9 year old team played for the title (football that is) yesterday & they w0n 9 to 6. Not only is he the starting QB but he scored the only TD - they also had a safety to total their 9 points but he lead the team in tackles & made a couple of the right decisions while playing QB. Yes, I am a very proud Papaw Mike today.
