Bleh
Feeling kinda low. Ex texted again about the kids. Tried to talk with him about not being helicopter parents, I learned in my parenting class that sometimes you have to let kids learn from their mistakes. He wants me to nag our 13 year old into keeping up with her homework, I think she should start learning to be responsible for taking care of it without being reminded. I don't know if that's the right course of action, but I feel like the sooner she starts being responsible, the less likely she is to make big, life altering, mistakes. I hope I'm right, but it doesn't matter because he's always going to remind her then blame me if it doesn't get done. It's hard to co-parent when you disagree on the best way to handle these situations.
