Bittersweet

Today as Jeff and I walked up toward the DQ, I saw a busker in front of the Save On...I was doing okay until then, when I suddenly teared up...Tom was a busker for 30 years, and it brought back memories of him standing in front of the liquor store with his guitar, wearing his buckskin jacket.  I would go to meet him, he'd put his guitar down when I got off the bus and I would stand on my toes to give him a kiss..then he would pack up and we would go home together.  I just miss him so much, every day I wake up crying, and go to sleep the same way.  It's been a month now.  I still can't believe he's really gone.

I am sorry to hear you are so sad! I am going on 3 months...two more then you. For what it is worth, I am starting to cry less. Maybe our tears just dry up.Slowly I am concentrating on watching the evening news on TV. Telling you this so hopefully to give you some hope. I was exactly like you at one month. The pain is something you cannot describe. No words at all but it hurts so much!! I know we are all so different but I just wanted you know I feel your pain and at this moment I am sending you peaceful thoughts. Hugs to you.

What a beautiful memory you are left with. I\'m so sorry you have to travel this horrid grief journey. Life is seemingly unfair at times for sure. As we have had better days before, we are promised to have them again . . eventually. Hold on tight and ride out the twists and turns of grief. Easier said than done, I know. Thinking of you and sending healing thoughts and prayers your way. Hugs, D
