Bittersweet
After many phone calls my head hurts and my heart is heavy.
This group I'm apart of set up a donation to help me purchase my son, Joshua's, grave marker. It's been 4 years on the 28th since he passed and could never afford a grave stone for him. Last month I went to visit. I put up a few stone statues, stuffed animals, letters so there would be at least something there. It was all gone when I went. It broke my heart. The marker is going to cost $1600 and right now I have $725. So I'm going to have to give what I end up having by August and start making payments monthly. Hard part is, the marker won't be made until it is all paid off which will roughly take me about another year as of right now.
I just want to honor him so badly and was hoping I would make it to the $1600 mark in time to get it before winter. My dad said he was going to help me but the day before fathers day he stopped talking to me. I don't know why. But I have an idea that he isn't because he doesn't want to help with the grave marker...he's always been that way with money. He blows it on electronics, stupid stuff he doesn't need but when it comes to his grandson he won't put forth a penny to help.
I'm missing him so much today. I look at my son Nathan and think of what a blessing he is.

My condolences on your loss and the difficulties you are having with commemorating his life.
Thank you so much Steve!
I don\'t think your child would hold it against you that you have real-world limitations. It\'s the intent of your heart that counts and you\'ll eventually get to do what you want to do in this regard. In the meantime, it\'s time to rest from this concern and let time settle this issue. My condolences as well!
