birthday card
While packing today I came across a card Leslie sent me a few years back.
Picture of a bunch of 40's era bathing beauties peeking out from behind a huge beach umbrella.
Inside:
"Dear Mama--
Neither of us is exactly the Hallmark card type, so this made sense to me.
I can't deny that I screw up a lot. Neither of us has had a particularly easy go of things. However, you should be proud of the fact that you've raised me to be a person who loves and accepts people who are different, and who tries to do the right things.
I'm proud of you.
Happy Birthday, I love you.
Love, Leslie"
Oh girl. Miss you so much. No one else ever quite "got" me like you. And I was proud of you.

This is such a gift...beautiful.
I had found some notes and cards from Ed after he passed. I cherish them.
The love endures...♡
What a treasure this is for your heart! I'm so happy you ran across it. I've found things from Kala at the exact right time I've needed them! Always amazes me how and when they "show up".
Loving and missing our girls~
