Birth control
I went to the doctor for my 6 week check up after I had my baby. I told him that I want my tubes tied and he told me about Essure. I had never heard of it before so I went home and did some looking up on it and find some information about it. After all the information that I found about it, I am not waiting it done. It is little coils that they put in your tube and over the next 12 weeks tissue in your tube grow around the coils to block your tubes. I have heard and talked to several people and they all have had problems with the coils and had to had surgery after they had the coils put in to have them removed because of all the pain that they were in. Some have even gained up 100 lbs and have looked like they where pregnant from the bloating. I don't want that by any means. I want my tubes tied the old way so that I don't get pregnant again. There has even been some women get pregnant after the coils where put in. Its just not something that I want to go through and then not be able to take care of my kids because I am laying in the bed in pain all the time. When I go to my doctor next month I am going to tell him that I don't want it done and that they are going to do it another way as long as it doesn't mean them putting something in my body. I am on the pill right now and when I was on the pill in the past I never got pregnant but I don't want to take the chance to get pregnant again. When I was pregnant with my daughter I had some problems when I was pregnant and my health is not like it was when I had my boys. I don't know what I am going to do if my doctor says that the Essure is the only thing that I can get done because I really don't want that done to my body. It has been having me thinking about it a lot all the time and I have talked to my family about it and they agree that I shouldn't have it done because of all what everyone else has been through when it. It sucks that people have been in so much pain after time with it and try to make people see what it is all about and try to keep someone else from getting it done. But I am not going to get it done because I would rather be able to take care of my kids and not be in the bed all the time and having someone else take care of my kids. That is not me, I am always there for my kids and this could put me out for a long time. Plus why would I have one surgery that could lead to another surgery and not just have one surgery done to be done with it and I wont have to worry about anything again.
