bird view from the ground
When looking through resentful eyes, the world is pretty hard, tough, raw.
I dealt with red eyes, painful dry grittiness, struggling in pain as I brushed my teeth this morning. I listened to all the internal infernal meeps, beeps, twinges, crunchers and spasms as I stood there doing this one simple thing. Then I sat back down, took a muscle relaxer and conked out.
Next attempt, now more rested, let's begin again. Have a picnic in bed. Made a sandwich, cut it into 4 squares......added celery, carrots and some 50% lower sodium chips. Anyplace with a blanket is a fine location for a picnic right? Why not the bed?
I spent time praying this morning, .......thought fondly of ya'll......and expressed gratitude that when we do our best then we can rest with a sense of peace for God is on the job........he's on duty 24/7. That is a great comfort.
I go up and down with my thinky thoughts. I have that two lists for projects. One list is general home chores, the other one is sorting through cupboards and closets. Apparently I'm beginning a nesting phase again..........the nesting call is getting louder and more insistent. I hope that means I'll have more energy soon.
I goofed up the quiche recipe this time. Oh my lands.................what did my Grandma used to say? Land O'Goshen.......something like that. I was pretty zonked when I made it........it's only my third quiche. The first one was Spinach & (low sodium) Bacon, the 2nd one was Vidalia Onion and Sausage. This one is Mushroom & Spinach. I didn't drain the spinach well enough - the quiche is watery/soggy......sheesh. My bad. A moment of silence and a farewell wave for this quiche. The kitchen flag will be lowered to half mast and Ruthie Bird will try to do better next time.
I should have waited until today to cook. But noooooooooooooooo Superior Sally, that renegade, she is so pushy. She says do it now, right now........and when I still listen to her it does not pay. Superior Sally should have just gone to bed...........she thought she'd have a leg up on the meals for today and tomorrow. Now it's gonna go bye-bye. Food for the swamp monsters. Silly Superior Sally..........slow down sweetie.
OK now that I've hollered at my inner Sally I need a break. I'm feeling seasick......again, a lot lately it seems. A general queasiness........wanna put a pillow under my tummy/abdomen area and sleep again.
It's 86 outside.......overcast, breezy. If I felt a little better it would be a good time to do that repotting......but it's gonna have to wait. Me and my guilty shadow...........gonna have to take us both back to bed. I think I must be feeling a little better cause my brain is in planning mode......even when my body isn't ready yet. It's sort of like when you're healing from chicken pox........been in bed a lot, feel sort of cabin feverish, but then when you get up..........you're weak and woozy........don't have land legs yet, gotta take it easy.
Noticed an odd thing, I get rashes quite frequently because of the Sjogren's.......they hurt and I treat them with a cream that soothes and heals them. But yesterday I noticed I had several rashes broken out and no pain. That never happened before. I like having less pain, don't get me wrong........but it worries me that I am not getting pain signals like usual. Makes me wonder if something else is going on..........no I'm not trying to kick a gift horse in the mouth........but something is wrong with having the rashes with zero pain. Something, but no clue what.
That's all for today. Not feeling very sassy, I'm spending this week-end watching Emergency reruns from 1972...............somethings never change and in other ways the changes are HUGE between then and now. Did ya'll watch Roy & Johnny and the staff at Rampart General back in the day? I just watched an episode where a 16 year old boy was lying at the bottom of a canyon. When he lifted his head, it was a very young John Travolta. Funny........who became stars from that show.....and Dierdre Hall of soap opera fame is part of the nursing staff. I don't watch soaps but even I know who Dierdre is..................did I or did I not promise to say see ya later bye?
Sorry heavy rambling on my circuitry today.......love, peace, cool beans and soft squishy hugs.

That Sally, she is so pushy but I bet some days she helps you out. Rest up, picnics in bed, planning flower plots. The ups and downs of it all sure do make for interesting mental meanderings and emotions. Thank God for distractions like TV, music and the kitties. I hope they are being good helpers.. I\'ve been drinking smoothies lately. Do you ever drink them?

Smoothies seem to help me out when my stomach is upset. The fruits ones are yummy. AND they are easy on bad days.
Hello Ruthie Bird! My mom\'s name is Sally and yes, she can be bossy! LOL Speaking of eyes, check out my latest entry. Yes, your mind wanting to do things is good. Just don\'t over-do. We all know it\'s too easy to over-do. I don\'t know how you cook so much! When I have to cook, I eat a lot of 3 minute pasta or quesadillas. (Eating a quesadilla right now!) So, have a great day and enjoy your picnic in bed!
Hug hug
Hi Ruthie Bird....sorry about the quiche....good for you to attempt it...never had but wanted to...Let\'s conspire! Nesting is a good thing I think, I like to putter. Emergency! Yes, I remember that show. Did you hear that Jean Stapleton (Edith Bunker) passed? She was 90. Our family watched that show every week, it was ground breaking TV. RIP Edith, up there with your Archie!! xxoo
Oh dear! Soggy quiche!! Hmm! And of the ones you mentioned, this one sounded the most yummy to me. AHHHHHHHHH, welllllllll, back to bed and try another day.
Ignore super Sally. If your brain is kicking into gear the body isn\'t usually far behind.
I wouldn\'t let the \"no pain\" with the rashes rent too much space in your mind. Our bodies are so wierd with this autoimmune stuff...don\'t know too many of them where pain diminishes...without it being a good thing! Hope that helps. It\'s raining here, and late....and my brain is soggy...like said quiche.
We\'ll all be ok, wonky birdie!! Big hugs to me friend~!
Prayers & hugs. I\'m rested here in pain..after a fun 40 minutes in the pool with Kennedy & Michael. Got out of the pool ,in the house & shower. Put on my Jammie\'s & I was hurting, shaking like crazy & breathing hard. I got so upset I started to cry. Hubby calmed me down & got me to go to bed. Kennedy & Michael gave me kisses & said, have a good nap. I only got to be with my son & Kennedy for 40 minutes. :(. At least grandpa had a bit more time with them.
Your picnic sounded relaxing & yummy. I have a Sally in me too. Rest up Sparrow & flap your wings around maybe tomorrow. Love you sweetie. Nite nite xo
Hugs/Compassion for you Serce.....Hope that you feel better soon,so that you can do what your heart and spirit call for you to do. xoxo sweet ladyxoxo
I like how you seem to make the best of a bad situation, like the picnic in bed. what a cute idea. I need to work on this too. You just gotta smack Sally, that is all there is to it LOL.
