bippity boppity boo!
all over the place. moments where i sit and stare into space. teary moments, happy times, exhaustion, then a fresh sense of peace......so confusing.......sometimes inspiring......don't know how to keep smooth, but i keep on trying.
busy week filling in the blanks ....so many details required for paperwork. ughhhhhh. coming up this week? an mri of my pelvis/hips on Wednesday. before that have to get bloodwork drawn at my regular doc and get my prescripts updated/sent to the pharmacy. need to remember to p/u samples of Xarelto while there, Courtney left them in my name at the front desk.
i thought that my trip to the rheumatologist on Wednesday would bring some much needed relief from the hip and well the middle core of my sorry ol bod. but she said no, no injections til we see what is going on.....then she said can i get you any medications to help you right now? so many things that i can't take....medicine wise i mean. it was good to see my rheumy after such a long time....i hadn't seen her since 2010. she is in need of hip surgery and she wondered if i need it in my case will i get it........i'm still hoping that i'll be sent to physical therapy......denial or hope.....either way it's what i'm wishing for.....you know a general stay of execution for any and all surgeries.
making soup right now......yup, good ol heart healthy low sodium lotsa fresh veggies soup......nummmy.
today was good, went to the church for the fund raiser, then Deb & I went onto some thrift stores, and to a chinese place for dinner. we called it quits earlier than usual cause we were both wiped out. then i got home, jammied up and found i had a spare pocket of energy.......most unexpected.
well Debbie the former cleaning lady/who I thought was my friend never did apologise. i really thought she would......but people will surprise you. she worked for me for three years......then in one mad rush she lost it......and that has been that. the world is so weird to me.......a grown woman not stepping up......i'm still not over it.....
still so blessed that God sent me a new friend to fill in the gap. confused that they both have the same first name but life is funny that way..........my new pal is a Deb or Debra but not a Debbie.
sam and i got a lot done last week on my paperwork.......but it's not all completely complete. this is an odd journal, choppy no??? choppy yes!
next saturday i have something to look forward to.......going to an egg drop and a men's fellowship BBQ luncheon. the slow steady seemingly hopeless seeds planted among the people at the little red brick church and the owls have been coming right along this year.......after all this time friendships feel like they are blossoming. it's been such a long 8 years.....there is a solid core of gratitude and love for friends here and a hurt for all those who left with the ds format changes. that cut deep. we hang in, we do our best......we manage, we wonder if we can manage the next day or the next and then sometimes God shines through people and lifts us up..........today I got a hug from toddler girl Mary Claire. She is a real beauty........dark hair and big round expressive eyes, a rosebud mouth........she looks like a character out of the pages of Disney.........if Disney were in Ireland!!! leo, the slightly older brother would start to talk to me and then get all shy and look away. Mary Claire and Leo are two of Debra's grandkids.....so sweet!
i have a question. what does it mean if someone tells you you're woozy? is that like when i say i'm feeling wonky? love you, night night.........thanks for YOU!
p.s. forgot to say what an egg drop is.........Debra's kids go to a church that sponsors a huge egg hunt every year.......this year they are dropping 10,000 plastic eggs filled with goodies for a giant egg hunt grabathon.........out of a helicopter. this i gotta seeeeee!

Ruthie, glad you have found a new friend to replace the other one with a similar name. Also glad Sam is able to help with all of that paperwork you are involved. Enjoy that egg drop - it should be a lot of fun. I once worked for a non-profit organization that held an annual golf ball drop on to a golf course using a helicopter.
I don't know what that word woozy would mean used that way.
So good to hear that you have made a new friend and are gathering with owl ladies as well. so sweet of have a hug from a child.
Your getting stuffs done. Me too...Got to do stuff in segments. those in between moments I have too.
Your vegie soup sounds lovely. Hope all goes smooth with your mri.
Have fun at the bbq and egg drop Serce. ♥
Hello lovely you. I'm not well and struggling so I'm behind with journal comments etc. To me ..feeling woozy means not feeling well or a bit dizzy or sick in the stomach. Here in Australia, it seems to cover various symptoms. I'm rather brain fogged from lack of sleep so when you mentioned egg drop, I thought of normal chicken eggs lol ! Glad to hear you're making friends Ruthie.Who wouldn't want to have such a gem like you for a friend.. Much love..woozy Di xoxo
I"m so happy you have a new friend to hang out with! That's an answer to prayer! I wonder if Debbie the cleaning lady is so ashamed of herself that she doesn't want to face talking to you again, even to apologize. It is hard to see adults not acting their age. I'm glad some things are coming together for you with church and the OWLS group. Good for you for hanging in there for the long haul. All I could think of with an egg drop is Chinese "egg drop soup." Haha.
