Biopsy

Well it's done!  I had a core biopsy done where they put a hole in the breast and use a larger needle to take samples, they actually did three biopsy's one after the other.
The whole procedure took about twenty minutes.  I was very comfortable laying on my right side but I was so nervous thinking about that stupid needle,  one of the technicians had leaned on my upper body to stop me from shaking so much.
I took two Ativan before the biopsy but they didn't seem to do the job, the doctor told me taking the Ativan when I was already anxious actually had the opposite effect.  But she managed to do a great job and apparently so did I.
I never stopped talking the whole time because that's what I do when I am very nervous, but they didn't mind at all and they got a lot of laughs from me especially when I told them I wouldn't be offended if they all just up and left the room ha ha.
When it was over I begged the doctor, using my delicate bipolar illness, to please to tell anything she could.  She told me it wasn't a mass, but she found calcifications (lumps).  She said these lumps could or could not be cancerous.  She told me if it comes back that they are cancerous, that we had caught them in the very earliest stage, and  they will likely be removed.
So she had to put a little gadget thingy inside of my breast in the area where these lumps are because if it is cancer they will have to go in and remove it and this little gadget thingy is like a road map to the area.
I am glad to find this much out and was very thankful.  But now is the big waiting game,  results will be a week to two weeks!  I know everything looks good but I am still a nervous wreck, so I am spending New Years eve alone just me and my pizza Ativan Tylenol and an extra hit of Seroquel with my bed meds.  The freezing is almost all gone so getting sorer by the minute.
So that's all for this chapter of the mysterious lumps. I wish you all a very happy new year!  Love you's all so much!  xoxoxoxoxo

Oh,and I do the same thing. When I get nervous I get talkative and silly, and make my Dr\'s laugh....NOT a good thing during a procedure !

I saw a hug you sent to dancing. Looked at you journal because I saw biopsy. Hope you don\'t mind. Congrates on making it as far as you have. I had a biopsy about March of last year. I found out that we were in stage ZERO. Yea, yea!! Praying you get news soon. The waiting is the hardest part. Tell me the news, no matter what the news is.

As far as feeling alone, NOT TRUE. We and God are there for you.
