Better day, but I can't let up

Today was a better day than the past few, but I cannot get complacent and let a good day overshadow what I've done this past week.  I need to keep pushing forward and take it 1 day at a time until I am comfortable with my reactions in a potentially negative situation.
My wife and I got along a lot better today, but if I don't continue to shape up, that won't last.  Today, I did my best to not put myself into situations that have caused a lie in the past.  Since it is a habit of mine, I need to change my every day routine to break it.  Doing the same thing day in and day out will put me into a rut and my situation will not get better this way.  I need to train myself to react differently than I have in the past.
Tomorrow, we both go back to work.  I am planning on changing my routine for first thing in the morning in order to shake things up and not let myself get into a rut.  I'll do things out of order, which will get my mind working and more alert first thing in morning.  I am confident that by doing this, it will help with my recovery.  Stopping and thinking about what I'm doing throughout the day will make me more aware of how I think and what I can do to avoid putting myself in a lying thought process.
My wife will be understanding to an extent, but her patience has worn thin, so there's no room for error this time.  I will be carrying a small notebook with me to write down my thoughts and feelings throughout the day.  I can review these on a regular basis to really get a sense of when/how I fall into lying mode.  this method will also act as a checks and balances for myself.  Since there is documentation required to make this part work, it will force me to keep up with it.  I'm so sad that I've let this thing consume me, but I know I can channel my competitiveness, determination, and leadership skills to conquer this thing once and for all.  It's not going to be easy, but I am positive that I can do this!!
