Beta Results
Phew, big sigh of relief. Beta today doubled, it's 308! I'm SOOOOO relieved. I have a whole different view of the 2ww now. I can't believe how terrified I am of each appt and how much I need resassurance that this little bean is growing and developing ok! It's just tragic what IF does to us and knowing statistics, odds, etc. can just make us nuts. Next beta is on Tuesday.
In other totally unrelated news, a coworker of mine comes into my office this morning to tell me she is 12 weeks pregnant. Of course I had to ask her how long she's been trying. She tells me they only tried for a month and she was surprised it happened so fast since she is "old" (36). I couldn't help but find all of this very annoying even though I like her and am happy for her. Just another reminder that IF can make us so bitter and unable to be happy for others' lack of struggle.
Thank you all for the reassurance over the last few days and for being here each step of the way. This is soooo hard to manage and I can't imagine doing it without my DS sisters. Love and baby dust to all xoxoxo

YAY! I told you it would be fine. I wish the anxiety ended at some point, but you will find yourself on pins and needles thw whole way through. I\'m 21 weeks and I worry constantly that something will go wrong...I think IF has scarred me for life!
Yay! This is awesome. It is crazy how IF messes with us. I hope your numbers continue to grow and grow and that your little bean is healthy and strong. Friends of ours are \"old\" at 36 and got pregnant their first month too. I have not really talked to them since they told us because I do not want to come across as a bitter bitch. I am happy for them but WTF!

So happy to hear the beta went well. It\'s true that the 2ww doesn\'t end at the end of 2 weeks. I was nervous for months. I had a hard first trimester, and so every little thing that happened I was nervous it was something going wrong. Hang in there, use relaxation techniques as much as possible and keep reminding yourself that you are ok. Because you are. Congrats!
