Best friend

My childhood best friend of 18 years knows my situation I get he has a busy lifestyle and is in demand but a text just to say how are you doing isn't too hard is it? 

Why hasn't he checked in with me to see how I'm holding up or if Laura has talked to me? I'm quite angry at him to be honest but I don't want to say anything because he is my best friend and it's not in my nature. 

Yet so many other friends have come through it's nice to see and I feel a bit more valued. I just wish people would be up front or do things my way so I can understand more
