Being There
I think about the times I struggle and feel bad because I don't know what to say to help... I'm going to try to remember this picture...
I just wanted to share this here on DS... I shared it on FB today but I know some of my SOTH aren't on FB. I hope this comforts you as it is comforting me.
When Cara died I was devastated. I didn't know how I was going to survive or even if I wanted to... then I joined Daily Strength... and shortly after ForMomsOnly... and I started writing in my journal... other moms who were struggling to deal with child loss reached out to comfort me... and I reached out to comfort them... and we continue to reach out to others... Its beyond me to describe what this has done for me and many others...

Thank you for sharing this Elissa. I believe I was saved by FMO. When Lisa died, it was horrendous. Everyone I knew was almost as devastated as me. One night, about a week after, I went to my computer and started looking for a site that might help me and I found Daily Strength. The next day I had a message from Barbara asking me if I might find FMO useful. I had a lifeline and I will always be thankful for Barbara and the wonderful SOTH here.
Tight hugs, M
Six years ago I never thought I would survive. I know that it is thanks to FMO and SOTHS that I am where I am today.
me too.
FMO is my only real support group, and I am so grateful to have you all as my friends! Thank you for sharing this post, Elissa. xxx
Agreeing. It is so nice to have a place to come where everyone understands. And to know that you aren\'t crazy. These feelings are normal. I continue to be blessed by being here.
FMO has truly been a lifeline for me!! Thanks, for sharing :)

Me too. My lifeline.
I know. All want to is for our grief to be acknowledged. No one can fix it but knowing that someone knows and cares makes all the difference in the world.
What a cute poster! So glad we all have each other.... Hugs all.
I will forever be so thankful for Barbara\'s vision and all the wonderful ladies who linked arms with her to give us a place where we can be pulled back from the abyss and in time hopefully help others who are thrust upon this path. I too just stumbled blindly onto this site and it truly was my lifeline. I love my sisters of the heart and cherish my friendship with each one. Love and hugs to you...Lynn
I like the picture and the words are so true.
Great picture and even better sentiment - to have a friend in time of need is priceless. Thanks ~ Joanna x
