Being Lazy
Well, since we have all been a bit snowed in almost the entire week, I've just been lazy. Of course, I fell and twisted my knee. It hurts. It hurts the most when I'm trying to sleep, which is not good. It is has been good to be snowed in with the puppies, their training is coming along much faster with us all here...but also not so good because going outside at -10 degrees was not easy, either. It is funny because the cat finally warmed up and started playing with the puppies - so now everyone is getting good exercises even inside! The cat gets high and swats at their tails and then jumps down and runs across the house while they chase and then just jumps up high again! It's going to be fun training the woofs not to follow him once they are big enough to actually jump!!!
Overall, life is good. It seems a bit dull at times still, but I am getting used to the peace and quiet of it all. I think we get so out of balance living in abusive situations - our adrenalin etc. going out of whack all the time, it takes a long time to get back to any kind of normal feeling. I also think that we live in such a fast world and we are so socialized to go, go, go that we don't feel right if we are bored or aren't doing enough. I think most of us can really use some lessons in just being still, having times of quiet, and learning that the earth does not stop rotating if we just take a break and do not much at all.

This sounds blissful. :-) as there is no snow here on the south coast of England we aren\'t snowed in but I have a double case of pink eye so I am basically quarantined in my flat until it clears up so I have been in my small flat with my cat all week and I am appreciating the time to read and watch bad telly and play with my siberian forest cat. I know she\'s happy I am here and I have to say it is good to have quiet - in my home and in my mind. I hope you are feeling the same. Hugs xxx
Such wise words, I have often found the modern pace of life too frenetic for me, its even reflected in modern films, they flit from scene to scene too fast for me to be comfortable following. I can\'t always cope with tickertape updates on the news, etc etc. everything is just so super fast. I honestly admire our next generation, they seem to be able to cope with all this speed speed speed, but I know I don\'t always, I find it headache inducing.
Hurrah for calm and just BEING without all this overstimulation! Your time with your pets/kids sounds fun xx
So sorry, I forgot to say I\'m sorry about your knee and I hope it gets better soon - rest it and elevate it is my advice for what its worth xx
