being alone with certain feelings
I suppose in the final analysis we all have to be alone with certain kinds of feelings..
But we can also take solace in those moments when we are with friends or family or
online friends.. Right now I am dealing with an onery family member who is going through
very stressful times but is also being very badly behaved despite all the generosity that has
been shown to her. Hopefully time will help cool her off - in the meantime
I am trying to not give it energy or obsess on it. If our meeting gets canceled then
I'll go to the movies as a treat. Lemons...to lemonade.
Wish you guys lived here. I'd love to meet up for some lemonadey times :).

Wouldn’t that be fun if we could all meet up at a coffee shop on the flip side?
Hope you have an excellent weekend, Mark!
Thanks Nikki! Have a really good weekend!!

Whew chalé you know I know what it’s like dealing with a family member/s in similar situations, * just want to let you know I also have had to deal with it not replaying in my head or trying to put too much energy into it ... however it helps for me to take it easy on myself if I do have to go through it as far as feeling the feelings & thoughts attached to it.... there’s times where I have beat myself up for my reaction to it in this way & I think if I don’t beat myself up so much for feeling my feelings attached to it it’s easier to get through those feelings. I really hope that made sense because I know I talk a little weird sometimes so I hope I explained that right
Yea that would be cool if we lived closer & could meat up & chill. I know one thing, I would give you a dream catcher for your apartment lol :)
Big hugs <3 <3 <3
Thanks lil missy!!!

I can relate to dealing with a difficult family member. Like you, I have to work at letting her negativity and criticism bounce off of me, rather than absorbing it. I like your lemons-to-lemonade attitude!
Thanks ladybug!
one of my psychoweirds is to let myself think of strangers and/or siblings-in-healing as the difficult family member who sets off my obsessive "what if" loops. thou knowest of what i speak. . . the extra detachment of no blood in common helps me process the extreme difficulty i have with the worry of whether or not s/he is going to move in and keep spilling lemonade on my couch while expecting me to clean up after them. did you HAVE to leave the lemon rinds on the counter?
healing hopes for all. no exceptions.
on the philosophy end. . .
i mostly believe being alone with our feelings is part of the human condition. even during an open and honest dialog about feelings, words are never enough. to my senses, feelings live far beyond words and even body language.
Words are never enough ((peace))
