beautiful morning!
things are pretty good. I was behind the iconostasis
serving today and I thought about how I had difficulty holding
onto my integrity at times. difficulty for being completely
earnest and sincere, and I thought about then, that I must not
be the only person who has difficulty with this? That thought
birthed forth the understanding that we each cling to things
as a home base for our beliefs and our truths, that sustain
us when our own searchings have us lost within our actions and our integrity
fatigues. The truths we hold onto bring us that integrity, that sense of peace
and understanding. I went to a Catholic University and I am also Greek Orthodox.
I feel a great affinity for both religions. I find myself seeing both my nature as
a human being who has times when I can get tired and my passions will surface. At those times
I won't be able to filter them, the passions, so well. But even that reality has me seeing
the imperfections in all of us - in myself, like my friend Penny for instance, and for even Blue.
They don't have to be feared.
We all have light and passions in us and are beautifully imperfect combinations of those
things.
Thanks and have a good weekend!

again you remind me of my "grammar therapy." no, not the stuff pedaled by speech pathologists. this is a self-styled therapy kluged from the decades of therapy work for my savior complex. i had/have an especially over-developed savior complex groomed by an 11 sibling alcoholic family. if you want those gory details, i have a HUGE hand-written therapy journal you can peruse.
when i find myself fissuring into the pluralities and uncertainties of my savior complex, i mind my grammar. a) i keep my pronouns well defined. who is "us?" who is "they?" when i can't place names and faces to the pronouns, i am merely spewing the verbal vomit of my savior complex. when i start measuring my life by the royal we, it's time to up the meds and/or see about another stay in the psych ward.
i am not quite sure why, but you remind me of my grammar therapy often.
it's all good arfie. you have your style of therapy, i have my own. ((HUG)))
No, you’re definitely not the only one. As a Catholic, I can relate to what you’re saying. We all carry both darkness and light within us. Your light shines brightly. Please don’t be hard on yourself for simply being human. Hugs.
Thanks Judy!
You are not the only one sweetie
My mind can go in all different directions depending on the day
I agree that your light shines brightly
Arf I had to laugh when I read about your pronouns
We now live in a world of pronouns
I can't keep up!...xo
Thanks Janet!!
