be your loving parent
I hope you guys can be gentle with yourself as well.
This is what I thought about this morning that really helped.
I was sitting here - shaking in my boots about what to do with my day - I can get so lost in the moment.
Like I needed a perfect sense of what to do -
I then found myself praying again - this time with love - someone loving me - the Abbess -
and then I was inspired to just 'be my loving parent' as my guide to the day.
The door opened up for me to see that there are so many things I could do - that are good
for me - and that I can gently accomplish and be worthwhile to me getting
on with - taking care of my day. I added to the list.
and also I am able to see...'what is enough' as I go ahead and accomplish things on my list...
I know we are each responsible for our day - that doesn't mean we must be draconian with ourselves
too- reassure yourself if you can about 'what is enough' - keep up with what you need to do.

The theories on "Parenting Your Inner Child" might have been my most important body therapy breakthroughs, starting with imagining myself being as hard on a child --any child-- as I used to be with myself to my current gentling of unrealistic expectations and comparisons.
Being response-able does not require cruelty nor judgement.
Small steps, big faith and lots of prayer.
thanks arfie!
