don't just be one party, be both, neither right or left, but republican and democrat..be the red AND the blue...purple
I hope that some of our elected leaders will be motivated to honor the noble intentions of our founding fathers
and create a more ubiased vision for what our country needs and perhaps design a mechanism that will provide for
the trying times we are facing.
I feel like I hope they will stand up - and I will try
and standup like wise in my life.

That sounds like a good sentiment, but it's contingent on the goals and methods of all parties involved. Where there is a desire for goodwill and equitable measures then those will prevail. Where there is corruption then the whole process will be corrupt. It's good to dream but not to ignore reality.

Good idea, Mark. Too bad both sides are so stubborn they don't want to do what's best for the country. They are more interested in their own agendas.
It's nearly like we need some form of a impartial ceremonial figure like Germany has or even the UK.
More akin to our system, Germany has a President that tries to be impartial and a centering force.
Anyways, it is wishing for the best. I feel like we have some holes in our system that are haulting us to a full stop. Sending prayers up that somehow it (we) get fixed!
