Be gentle?????
I see and feel the affects of denial and not being gentle with my self. It is hard to see that and not get mad. Every one keeps saying he gentle, and practice self care. I know I have very little idea what that means.

Being gentle with myself and practicing self-care is, indeed, a very broad heading to a complex set of actions. Like being polite or behaving. Translate that to actions a throw-away kid can understand, please.
In regards to my personal anger issues, the first step was recognizing my anger as a valid response to injustices I have survived rather than a character defect I developed out of personal, childish preference. That small shift in focus put me in a position to find effective remedies for the root problem.
These days I often like to think of gentle self-care in personal hygiene analogies. Don't brush my teeth with a toilet brush. No steel brushes in the shower stall. Don't cut my nails with a jig-saw. No acid based soap when I wash my hands.
It's okay if that doesn't make a lick of sense to you, Mandy. Just sharing what works for me while admitting that I am still trying to understand it, myself.
Gentle support while you figure out what it means to you.
