Battling against the uncertainty
We have been blessed so much over the years. We set big goals & worked SO hard to become debt-free and paid off over $50k in debt. We moved to a new area and left the big city and all of the stress of it. We were able to save so much and position ourselves well. We have remained at good jobs, had some kids and have lived in relative harmony, albeit still in a restless state of discovery.
The Covid-19 world has seriously thrown all of it into disarray.
I continue to struggle with physical ailments (that were timed horribly) and anxiety from the original lockdowns and the stress of my health with juggling kids, sent me spiraling out of control. I have since gained the reins back and continue to consciously hand them over to God, but our security and mental health is being challenged like never before. My spouse is now feeling the stress, and it's hard to witness that daily.
It's baffling to me how we can take such a 180 degree turn in such a relatively short amount of time. It makes me realize how delicate the balance always is and how easy it is for people to end up on the street.
There are a LOT of people struggling way more than we are, guaranteed. But our shoulders are heavy with demoralized thoughts and emotions on times. It takes work to redirect all day long and focus on the Promise.
I'm just feeling exasperated and bitter today.
