Battered and broken

Aargh.  Have broken toe next to little toe on right foot.  Very painful but impressively bruised.  Rest of foot has come out in sympathy.  On the positive side this is now number three on the list of injuries so hopefully my full tally.  Also sporting black eye where carrying a painting while moving furniture and it caught a doorway and bit me back.  Then there is the 'Thank You Prednisone' massive red bruise on right hand where  a bookcase fell after being carefully manhandled back into place and seemingly secure.  Lots of sympathy for that.  These things people can see....(When actually in the greater picture the RA much worse a thing).
So although painters finished and hired a couple of students to help as will not move furniture again or put up with husband's grumpiness while going it,  I cannot now finish off the smaller stuff.  Think will pack a sad until after 'festive season' over.  Make lemonade out of lemons?  Yes.  Great excuse to put feet up and ignore Christmas!  But means goal shot to pieces - grrr.

Oh no, Camba, not ight on Christmas!! Hopefully, that is your three. I\'ve got a \"Grumpy old man\", especially trying when we do things like shift furniture. Maybe it\'s a male age thing. Last time we did I stuck my foot out to stop a cupboard falling and hitting the floor. Rushed trip to GP, nothing broken but swollen, cut and couldn\'t walk on it.. Sit down, relax and let everyone else look after you.
Seriously, I do hope you heal quickly. A sore toe is so painful.
Love and hugs

Hi Camba, GRRRRRRR growl all you need to! Ever thought of resting & pretending that Christmas is already over? We don\'t even have our tree up here yet & I\'ve misplaced the kids chocolate advent calendars. Life is so NOT perfect with RA & no use pretending our sore old bodies can make up the difference especially with broken toe. Hope the rest is okay & you can ignore what you haven\'t been able to finish. Hope you feel better soon & that you can indulge in reading, watching good movies or listening to lovely music while you rest. Take care, Anna

I missed this. You mentioned your toe in your reply to my journal and I was wondering what you meant about your foot and so came to check. Oh man what a lot of beating you have been taking. And you still braved it to the beach for Christmas. good on ya. I bet that was a bit of a hassle getting on the beach with your bandaged foot. Hope you get on the mend soon.
