bathroom reno

I have been very busy the last few days. I had a lot of little things to do which always add up to a lot of time. I took my girlfriend to the hospital on Monday. She will be in for the week. She is being treated for her out of control sugars. She had type 2 diabetes and she has been running amuck for quite awhile. Her doctor finally decided that this was the best approach to wean her off the sugar addiction and get her feeling better. She feels like crap all the time and has no energy. Add this mess to her BP and she has just been tail spinning for way to long! I will pick her up on Friday and she will be home for the weekend and see how things go. If she feels she needs it she will go back for another week. I will miss her. She is not allowed any visitors.

I had coffee with my gal pals last night. It was great to see everyone and get caught up on the latest news in everyone’s’ life.

Yesterday I spent about 5 hours stripping down the downstairs bathroom. I am getting ready to paint it today. I have to go out soon and get the paint. I thought I had two gallons that would do the job that I bought for the upstairs hall. I did not like the color upstairs as it did not match the border close enough. So I thought it might be perfect in the bathroom...not!!  It looks like baby pooh! Now isn’t that a lovely color for a bathroom..lol! I had picked out one from the store so I am going to get it this am. The bathroom is all ready to paint so it will be a two day job with the drying time. I will reassemble the bathroom on the third day. I will need to get a new border, shower curtains and regular curtains but I want to see what it looks like before I fork over anymore money.

I am feeling better. The weather has been great from Saturday on. Each day has been a little warmer. Yesterday it reached 48*f and in the sun it felt much warmer. It is perfect weather for the maple syrup business. We have had the ideal conditions: nights just below freezing and days just about freezing. My husband and father in-law are thrilled.

Well, gotta trot and have breakfast. Debbie
