Barriers

Their words are like barriers
Iron, but not insurmountable.
But I'm not strong enough yet,
Weak from damage already done.
 
The barriers restrict me from so much,
Self esteem and everything I could accomplish.
They box me in,
And sheild me from happiness.
 
I'm weak now but just wait,
I have strength building up.
Vengence is sweet,
They'll see they no longer affect me.
 
Their words are like barriers,
