bark bark!!

My oldest went camping with in-laws. So I am dog-sitting for him. I have my 2 year old mix and his 10+ basset. The basset won't play with the younger pup. The younger pup keeps trying!! It's hysterical watching the effort.
I have no youngn' here today so I took the day off. I mean I REALLY took the day off. Slept til 8:30. Still have nightgown on and it's what 5:00? Loving it! Not a thing I have to do today so this is me time. Usually days off I have to mow or shop. The grass isn't that high so it can wait another day or two. If it hadn't rained yesterday it would wait another week. It's mostly brown anyway. Few fresh green sprigs here and there in patches. Nothing ankle deep yet.
Still no check from exass. Guess he needed gas money for that new motorcycle he got. My sister called to tell me about her dream. As soon as she mentioned exass' name I corrected her and said more of a nightmare! lol. anyway, she dreamt he (exass) showed up at HER house looking for me. She was gone, so hubby said "she's at home?" (meaning me) Exass replied "no she's not. She doesn't live there any more. The people there don't know where she went." This, according to her, happened about a year from now. Oh my! What a thought!
