Banking
Why do bankers use all this financial babble. I get so frustrated when all I want to do is keep everything as it is. It is like they have to justify all the fees they charge! I really miss having someone to rant to. the kids keep saying mom don't get so upset. They don't realize it feels good to blow off some steam. I try to explain that, but..otherwise the momentum continues. I am still plenty sad but not grief stricken. All this lovely sunshine must have something to do with it

It can be very overwhelming for us. I went to the bank to make sure only my name is on all the accounts just last week. I get tired of them asking about other investments elsewhere and what are my plans for them. Of course the golden rule is do not keep all your eggs in one basket but the banks sure wish you would!! In their basket!
And they really do not want you to spend any of it. either. My investment person said i shouldn\'t have paid cash for a new car. i should go with a 0 % loan and keep my money earning money. but the way interest rates are i would be as well off to keep what i have left hidden in my mattress. Besides i am mostly retired so-who wants debt?
My money is in a mix of stock, bonds and cash. Only a small portion of it is in the bank mutual funds. I am pretty happy with the mix after doing a lot of research a couple of years ago. Our stock portfolio conservative with the dividends reinvested. i am not ready to change or make decisions with it. the cash is very low interest but being retired and only working once or twice a week i really feel i need that safety net. thanks for all your advice- it is good to be able to bounce ideas off people. P
