Bad Habits
So my anxiety had been high the past few days and out of nowhere, an old bad habit started again. It hit me so quickly that I couldn't resist. And ever since, I have felt like I'm spiraling out of control. Yesterday, I realized that I can't ease out of habits. The best way is to quit them completely and quickly as possible - while learning how not to go back to them.
So today, I'm trying to do better. Be better. I went to work, after I had fallen down, and I tried to keep a positive attitude. Then customers happened. But, I tried to stay positive through my tasks, which I couldn't accomplish because of so many customers. Being in a work routine helps me keep certain habits away. Bad habits do not control me or my life. I am stronger than them. I must remember that.
On a positive note, I only talked to my store manager twice today. I had many opportunities, but I kept my mouth shut. I did make a few faces, but he probably didn't notice (it's hard to see anything but my eyes in a mask). I had even heard from my department manager that he was boasting about my work to corporate.
And I am continuing to work on that validation. I did not go seeking for it, nor did I go boasting about it to everyone. I used that praise to think positively and actually work on my tasks today - I wasn't going to do much today, but I figured that I'd try to work through some backstock.
