Bad dreams

I know I’ve waited way too long to write about the dreams that i had last night. You should write about them when they are fresh in your mind, but i will do my best.I had several dreams last night. I know because i kept waking up. Only the last one woke me up due to a "fright". The rest of the dreams woke me up due too.... well, let me try to explain in general first. All of the dreams last night had one very large thing in common. I was running away from someone(s) that were trying to kill me. The other common feeling in all of these dreams, the reason that i kept waking up, is because no matter how many little successes that i had in evading my pursuers, i knew that in the end i would be caught. That sick pervasive feeling is what kept waking me up. In one dream, i kept trying to convince people that someone was after me. No one believed me, but i kept seeing them from the corner of my eye. Always close, but never in plain sight. Another dream, my son and i were running together. We were driving in a car, a car that i knew that i had to get rid of. The terrain was very hilly and there was a lot of water ways, and lakes. We found ourselves at the end of a dead end road. At the end of this road, there was an ultra light aircraft. It was made for only one, so i gave my son quick instructions on how to fly. Started up the motor, and watched him take off. I was so very proud. Then for some reason he turned the wrong way and started going towards the people we were running from, so i had to race back to try to protect him... the whole way i knew that i would be too late. Another dream I was running in a high rise construction site. I was jumping from level to level. I am a very good climber, and in this dream i was even better than i really am. I kept evading them and getting away, and i was feeling good about myself until i realized that i still had to at some point go to the ground floor to escape or i would just give out from exhaustion. There were lots of them waiting on the ground floor. I was just putting off my death, not keeping it from happening. The final dream, the one i woke from making the strangest sound that you would ever hear, is the one that just scared the shit out of me. I do not remember what led me to this final scene, but i was laying down on a bench. I was unable to move at all. The only thing i could do was look around. I then saw that i was laying in someone’s lap, looking up. That someone started to look down at me. The face was that of the person who wanted me dead. (not a face i recognized from real life). He had short hair, blond, and jagged teeth. His eyes looked "hollow" like there was no soul behind them. Then i noticed that the face was flat, like a big rubber balloon. I started to laugh that kind of forced laugh that you do when you find out that what you thought was the scariest thing in the world was just a balloon. The kind of forced laugh that lets you get rid of your tens and pent up fear. Then suddenly i saw consciousness behind those eyes and the face started to fill in and take shape. His whole body became real and he just smiled because he knew that he had me and there wasn’t a dammed thing that i could do about it. That is when i woke up with the sound that was like laughing, screaming, and crying all rolled into one.  When i woke up that last time, it woke up my wife as well. She said it was the strangest sound she had ever heard. I still feel weird and sort of off. I don’t know what to think about all of that.

maybe you should print this entry out, and give it to your therapist...
