Backoff grandma
My son wants me to stay out of the problems my grandson is having with bullies, etc. So, out I will stay. Now my sweet grand daughter is having problems but out I will stay. I think I just love them too much to get involved. It makes me angry when they are hurt. We all get hurt and hopefully we learn from the pain. Some things we learn to our benefit and some to our detriment but nonetheless, we do learn. There is a refrain from an old hymn that goes "Give it to Jesus."

so i trust that he presented you with the plan he has for helping his son with this issue? ...........i hear you about giving it to the Lord.........and i also hear some hurt...........of course you are concerned for your grandchildren.......its\' everyone\'s business when children are being bullied .........bullying has become a huge issue...........people have lost a lot of their boundaries when it comes to compassion, care, kindness........they seem to live in an entitled way that mows through anyone or anything just BECAUSE they don\'t like someone very much for some completely obtuse reason.
it is important that your son steps up to help on this issue............and i pray that he handles it in a responsible way that helps his chilldren.........it\'s a tough thing to resolve, but the idea that a principal handles things based on who he likes vs right and wrong doesn\'t sit well with anybody........i\'ll pray too, prayer is a POWERFUL TOOL............big hugs.......
my son had a run in with a neighbor\'s child. a moody angry young teen-ager.......the boy came over to my son\'s house when no one was home and spray painted the side of his house. with bright red paint..........sam took it on and handled it well.........talked to the parent and said he would not press charges if the boy would come over and clean up his crime and then help to repaint. my son spent time with him throughout the process and the kid opened up a lot...........mom working a lot of hours, dad not in the boy\'s life........since that all happened my son has been able to be a positive influence in this boy\'s life.........and there haven\'t been any more incidents. ...........sam said he\'s pretty sure that the mom drinks to excess.......little things he noticed.........sigh, the world is not a perfect place and we all need to pray alot........for our world! hugs, prayers........take care, you\'re an awesome caring loving grandmother!
Thank you for your support. I do not have the temperment for letting problems resolve in there own time. My son will do nothing about it. The principal talked to the boy. The boy apologized. That\'s it. My grandson is so sweet and forgiving that he would let the boy sign his cast. I hope its over but I don\'t see any punishment for past or present actions of the boy. I don\'t see any reason for his behavior to change but I don\'t seem to have the power in this situation and my son will avoid the confrontation. He has talked with my grandson about it but that\'s all he will do. I don\'t understand.
