BACK TO WORK!
Sunday night, 11-30-08: Okay..I have not worked in five days! Did I get anything done? NO! I have become a big, fat, lazy, bum! I have zero motivation for anything!I take it back! I did, almost, finish my Christmas shopping. I went to a few places Friday evening and got several things. I am trying to avoid the crowds/people. I just did no housework, aside from laundry. I didn't even finish that! And, I did pay a few bills. Ah well, in three weeks I will have twelve more days off!Today, I went to Ashley's sons birthday party. She was a very good friend of Scott's and continues to include me in her life. She was pregnant when Scott died. Anyway, it was at Chuck E. Cheese. Now, that was a stretch! Craig and I did play a couple of games. And, I and Masyn, the birthday boy, rode on the huge rocking horse. We were both afraid! lol He is only one and didn't have a clue what was going on! Tonight I have just watched TV, sent a few emails, and that is about it. It snowed here this weekend. Flurries, really. Not much accumulation. Regardless, Craig has been on call. Tomorrow he has to go in at 4:30 a.m. to make sure there are no slick spots anywhere. He gets paid for being on call and will get a couple of hours of overtime, so that is good. Every little bit helps! Especially since we still have received no money from our ex-tenant.I thought I would get some work done on my book this weekend. Nope. I have even procrastinated on that. Oh, well.....I did sleep a lot! I have been puny most all of fall. I am still coughing and blowing my nose. I have been on two rounds of antibiotics. I don't think I will feel well until spring! I think a lot of it has to do with depression. I told my son, Chris, I don't think either of us will ever conquer depression. We are just going to have to learn how to live with it. I have also come to the conclusion that six months of the year will be bad for me. From June through December. There are just too many memory dates in that time period. Not that other days are much better. They just don't have such a significant meaning.I really dread going to work tomorrow! This new teacher.... I have been in contact with our other teacher and am so sad she is leaving for Hawaii tomorrow morning! I just have to remember why I am there....the boys! Whatever, whatever!

I have become a procrastinator too. I do what I have to & that is it. There was a time I couldn\'t do things fast enough. I become the biggest bum. Still can\'t face crowds. Worked almost all my life until now. Have no interest. Sorry, you sick. You need rest so don\'t think you are a bum. (I\'m the bum, smile) I think most of us feel the same about life. What was important before seems so petty now. Taking one day at a time together. Love, Lucille
Take care of yourself. I almost think it is a part of our lives now. I still bum around after 14 years. I have no desire to be around anymore people than I have to. I just take things as they go & if it doesn\'t get done then there is tomorrow. Love & hugs, Connie
Well you may have needed all that rest...although it really sounded to me like you DID do stuff. With being sick I am sure that contributed to the laid back feeling. I hope you feel better soon...Christmas will come and go soon...it always does...and then we will be out of the major holidays for a little while...take care...love to you...Karen
im reading what you are writing. im thinking of you, we havent been dished out an easy lot. love jan
Hi, you sound like a teacher and let me tell you I
barely did anything for 5 days either. I am single and have two cats though and so I just hung out and layed around in my cozy apartment. I was supposed to get all this grading done and after 15 years teaching special education it has come to forcing myself to do my job duties and then when I get home it\'s on the couch. My POTS makes me so tired that I want to do things at night but don\'t have the motivation. Sometimes I wish I had a partner to be around to get me motivated but every time I meet someone they end up being too needy and having major issues. I wish I could get out of this rut....there is so much I want to do but can\'t or don\'t do it!
Hope you start feeling better I have been sick too for about a week my coughing is making me sore. When is the Compassionate Friends meeting is this the Christmas one?I can\'t remember anything anymore or should I say I don\'t want to.Take care.Hugs,Vicki
I hope you are feeling better soon. You have to do only what you can handle and nothing more. We can push ourselves to hard and then we are back to square one again. Be gentle, and take care of U. Love and Hugs.
I hope you will feel more like yourself soon. I know this time of year is bad for all of us! Most of all, like Tracy said, you have to take care of YOU. The rest doesn\'t really matter that much. If you feel that depression is holding you down, maybe it is time to see you doctor to get something mild to help a little. No, it does not take anything away, but I am on something mild, and I feel it does help me deal with things some!
Otherwise, don\'t be so hard on yourself, Hon, just remember to take it slowly and don\'t beat yourself up about things. Love, Judy
Hi, feeling better today? I\'ve had a cold for over a week and the stock market for Kleenex should be going through the roof! Re the depression, Do you have seasonable depression? Maybe if you had the lights on all the time that might help. Maybe you are just down in the \'dumps\'. And like Judy said, don\'t beat yourself up. It seems that you have done a lot, Christmas shopping, etc. The hell with the housework. You can hire that done. Cheers,
Hey sleeping sounds good to me. At least you paid bills and did some e-mails, I\'ve just sat like a bump for a week. The boys will make it okay at school. Hope you get feeling physically better soon. Love and hugs Cathy
