back to pragmatics, basics and keep on keeping on...
I came back to the cell with all these thoughts about what I experienced this morning at chapel.
I wrote it down here below- but I was sitting here in an arm chair and feeling just SO LOW ENERGY OR INSPIRED
that I FINALLY JUST SAID TO MYSELF "YOU NEED TO FOCUS ON PRAGMATICS AND NOT IDEAS OR GRACES"
---
but this was the crud I was thinking about:
after walking into chapel this morning. I saw
we all have our own personal dignity - here at the monastery and yet need to work in the group -
and yet the consideration that we each have a personal dignities
that we are all trying to be graceful
and are trying to make connections
and there's so often a disconnect when trying for that
and we need to accept that - and deal with it - misconnections
and faulty connects happen -
simple and easy - know that some exists and not always.
----
I NEED to keep on keepin' on! :-)

Big hug sweetie..... This is a whole new way of life for you and you're also working with schizo-affective disorder so it's a double whammy in some ways.... Good for you breaking things down to make it easier on you
You know I wish you all that is good .... Another big hug and a blessing LC.... xo
Thanks Jan!
The nuns here have so much energy. I find myself exhausted doing meal prep. There’s no music and it exhausts me. I normally take a break in the middle of it. But it just makes me think something’s wrong with me for not getting something out of it l. I try and think in terms of making a meal but it’s exhausting. I don’t know how women do it.
hm-m-m-m-m. . . methinks it would be safe to say that all of your "we" statements apply to the communal living of family life, as well.
whether living communally or in social isolation, keeping it pragmatic is wise for every day. pragmatics are far simpler than questioning.
the great cooks of both genders which i have shared kitchens with all seem to have two rules in common
1) set a pace you can keep
2) practice, practice, practice
none of us expect a newbie to have mastered either rule. for them, the only rule is, "no pain, no gain."
