back in the nest...
hey.......love miss want you need you more n' life itself.
used to have a good pal who used to always say that to me. we were besties back in texas.......that phrase is something her momma used to say to her.......and it was always rattled off rapid fire.....wantyouloveyouneedyoumoren'lifeitself!
i miss her. and i miss y'all.
been home since monday. recuping mostly. doing a few honey do's......we had a wind storm today. you shoulda heard the acorns and branches attacking the house.....the rooftop. the kitties were skeert!
i put chicken in the oven. added two taters. some baby carrots. should be mighty fine to eat over the next few days. laundry about ready for the dryer. went outside for a few.......the halloween decorations were scattered hither and yon......retrieved them and got them rehung. the wind has quieted down now......i'll set the alarm clock in case i conk out .....don't want to OVERcook the food.
the trip was good. not perfect but pretty nice. i had a meltdown......which made it hard to come back from for me anyway. wish sarsa would let me talk it out with her but she likes to just move on. she may be ok with that but i feel rotten when that happens.
it hangs inside me like poison .......but i try to let it go......keep myself distracted with the good memories, with tv shows......with naps. i cried when we left also.......i got that on a very basic level i was grieving that our time was over. back to this house, back to my room. back to the great alone. it's a very cozy nest.......but it would be nice to have more birds flyilng in and out of my snug little sparrow's cottage.
i'll keep trying to shake the blues, ready myself for the big dental appt monday at noon, pretty sure they install the expensive bridge thingy........and i have to p/u some meds as prep for the procedures coming up (as soon as i schedule them that is......)
hang in there my good dear friend. hang in and hang on......let's keep the prayers circling over all of our rooftops......you're precious!

Oh, the infamous dental appointment! Gear up for that! You'll need all of your strength. Love you loads.
Good luck Ruthie at the dental appt. Glad you were able to get away with Sara. I bet the mountains were lovely. All the beautiful fall colors. Sorry you are feeling emotional. It's good to have a good cry now and then. Try and focus on what was good about your trip. Negative thoughts are not good for us. I know, easier said than done. I really have to reminder myself every day, to look for a tiny bit of joy each day. Love you sweet lady.
Hello Serce, We had last weekend a wind/rain storm. Glad you and your kitties are all safe sound .
Your dinner cooking sounds lovely and nutritious. I glad you were able to go on your trip, and its OK and understandable that you were overwhelmed with feelings and emotions. When I have done something that was scary but fun,I cry with a heady mixture of relief, happiness and grief.
You can talk to me,about it any time.♥ Hope your dental appointment goes well. I think it will. Welcome back Serce. Love You ♥ and greenies for the boys.
Hello lovely Ruthie. I'm so glad that you made the trip with Sara. Maybe it wasn't perfect but that's ok.You made it there and back and that's a great achievement. It's ok also that you had a bit of a meltdown. It seems that Sara just has to deal with things in her own way.Her way is different from yours and I understand how unfulfilling that can be for you and frustrating also that you have to leave things go when you need to clear them and resolve them. It's not easy. We are all just individuals who have different ways of dealing with things.
Don't think about the dentist too much. You will be alright. Just get yourself there and go with the flow . It's worse in our minds. Think of funny things or maybe keep silently congratulating yourself on how well you're doing in the dentist chair. Remind yourself of how wonderful it will be to have a nice new bridge instead of missing teeth. Carry the love and strength of your friends here with you to the appointment. Tap into that energy and feeling. I have done that many times in different difficult situations and it helps. I understand your loneliness . There's still every chance of that changing. Why not? Stay positive. Keep praying and keep visualizing what you want in your life. All my love and best wishes to you Ruthie soul.xoxo
The blues ....... I hear ya there. It's like having a really bad cold sometimes - all you can do is tough it out! I know about wind storms, too! While Tim was gone on a mission back in July, we had a storm that blew a big oak tree limb down in the front yard. When Tim came home, he sawed it up for firewood! (Wish we could do that with the blues!)
I hope your dentist appt. goes better than you expect! Hugs!
I'm glad your trip held some good things and you made it back home safely. It's always hard to face returning to isolation. Even when I'm out for the day with a friend or family member, I make them drive the longest way home possible so I can delay going back home. I love home, but I've seen enough to hold me for a while. Hoping for the best with your dental appointment - I have a filling replacement and a partial crown in November and I've already started praying for peace to get through it! Going to the dentist is one time I'd rather stay in my home and not see the outside world. LOL.
