Back in the groove
8 days now back in the groove - - I feel good again and I shared a lot of things with my husband - he is helping me stay on track - always reminding me that it's impossible for me to gamble responsibly and that this truly is a sickness I have. He forgives me for everything and is being very supportive of my need to kick this completely. I'm sure he understands more than I know... I am substituting other behaviors like reading or my puzzles, so that's the plan . . . to overcome the urge to go to the casino. On the road again . . . the recovery road.
Staying away feels good - just for today I have not and will not gamble.

Way to go. If I remember correctly some time ago you didn\'t want to discuss any of this with your hubby and were adamant about keeping it to yourself? Well that is a huge step I think. I believe the more people who know, the more help you get and you are on the way to a happier life. hugs barb
We all must have a support network, and being able to begin that support at home, is huge. Kudos on allowing him to be there for you, by sharing with him......you are lucky to have a loving and caring spouse at the top of your support network.....we are all here for you as well....Like Barb said, the more that know, the more that can help. We\'re always here for you as well..

Hello dear friend, sending my support for you. Who said the only real failure is when you quit trying???? WTG for picking back up and beginning again. Even one day not gambling is a triumph!!! Hang in there!
