Baby girl

It's been two weeks now since my little one was born.  I still can't believe it sometimes.  The only time it seems real is when I hold her.  Her father is still not on the same page as me with all of this.  He still doesn't want her.  I don't understand how he can look at her and not feel any different, how he can hold her and not want to keep her.  I never want to put her back.  It's been very difficult for me to deal with all of this.  I love him, but I can't give up our daughter.  I'm afraid that at some point I'm going to have to choose.  It's not fair to me, or to our child.  I want what is best for her, I want her to grow up feeling loved.  How will that happen if her father doesn't change?  I managed to get a ride down to spend the weekend with my little girl, because he didn't want to come.  It's a long ride, about a hundred miles, but I couldn't pass up the chance to spend my days with her.  I'd do that ride every week if I had to, just to spend a couple of days with my baby.  I wish I could take her home.  I wish her father wanted her too.  It would be so much easier to cope with all of this if he had some interest.  Some of the things he's said about this have been really hurtful to me.  I know he doesn't intend on hurting me, but it does hurt to hear someone you love talk about how much they don't want your child.  He's stopped over the past few days.  I think it's because he's realized now that she's coming home when she's ready.  I've been putting away all of her clothes in the other half of our bedroom and I think seeing me do it has made him realize that no matter what he does, I am keeping our daughter.
