Awareness
It’s 6:10 am and I just did a short meditation. Getting up to get some coffee, I had an Awareness of e’thing in my “little” apartment. First of all I noticed Santa on my T.V. Stand and thought of how many Santa’s I have in my life. Then the angels beside him and how many angels I have in my life. Poinsettia’s, plants, roses from a friend, sunflowers. Such beauty in the “color” of life. The snowmen and their little faces that make me laugh. The framed picture of a Caboose that my children had framed for me last year for Christmas. It was from the Railroad that my father worked at his whole life; he loved the Railroad. Picture above Caboose that says “Home Sweet Home.” I love my home and feel the warmth for myself and hear the same from all who enter. It’s nothing fancy, but it’s warm and inviting. I noticed the many gifts friends and client’s had given me over the yrs. How precious is friendship. A Christmas card of my “new precious nephew.” Awe, the gift of a new life. Then my focus went to a picture that says “Let Your Light Shine” and I thought of how I continually have “New Life” myself….On down the hallway; pictures of my children and myself; siblings; mom and dad. What a journey life has been.
My bedroom holds a picture of a Mother holding her little newborn; representative of my “inner child.” How precious she is and it’s a reminder to always take care of me. A picture that says “let us be silent so that we may hear the whisper of God.” Pictures my niece and good friend drew. Philodendrons’ hanging.
Then the “Lights” on my little Charlie Brown tree. Such a reminder of the Light that forever burns bright within me. I am touched by this awareness this a.m. and wanted to share that my heart is in ultimate gratitude mode right now.

your journal entry read like a big embrace, all these pieces of your life giving you a vibrant (((Hug)))) Wow. I need to start meditating. Or drinking coffee again. I like the idea of slowing down the breath and taking time to look around and allow the story of each item, each photo to sing to me. . .
