AUGUST WILL BE NICE..NOT!!!!!

WELL, AUGUST ARRIVED YESTERDAY WITH HIGH TEMPS AND GORGEOUS SUNSHINE, A TRULY BEAUTIFUL SUMMER'S DAY. I WAS SO....THRILLED THINKING THAT THIS BODE WELL FOR A LOVELY MONTH. NOT!!!!! WE NOW WILL HAVE RAIN FOR THE NEXT THREE DAYS AND BELOW AVERAGE TEMPS. LOOKS LIKE WE MIGHT BE IN FOR A REPEAT OF JULY. I COULD JUST PULL MY HAIR OUT!!! MY POOR GARDENS ARE CERTAINLY NOT GETTING THE TLC THEY DESERVE.
HUBBY LEAVES FOR THE BLUEBERRY HARVEST IN MAINE ON THURSDAY. HE WILL BE GONE FOR ABOUT 21 DAYS, LESS IF ALL GOES REALLY WELL. THEN HE COMES HOME TO HARVEST HERE. THIS IS A VERY BUSY TIME FOR HIM AS HE IS BASICALLY RUNNING THE OPERATION. HIS DAD IS NOW 73 AND WITH EACH YEAR MICHAEL GETS MORE RESPONSIBLITIY.
WELL, MY DAUGHTER HAD A BIT OF A BAD LUCK RUN. WHAT ELSE IS NEW!!! SHE WAS GOING OUT WEST TO LOOK FOR WORK. SHE HAD HER TICKET AND SHE HAD A PLACE TO STAY. ALL THE DETAILS WORKED OUT. THEN THE PERSON SHE WAS TO STAY WITH BACKED OUT. SO NOW WHAT TO DO?? ANYWAY, IT IS ALL WORKED OUT NOW AND I THINK THIS PLAN IS BETTER ANYWAY. MY EX SISTER IN LAW LIVES OUT WEST IN EDMONTON AND SO DOES MY NEPHEW. MY DAUGHTER WILL BE STAYING WITH THEM. MY NEPHEW IS IN THE PROCESS OF GETTING AN APARTMENT AND WHEN HE DOES DANIELLE WILL LIVE WITH HIM. OF COURSE, THE ULTIMATE GOAL WILL BE FOR HER TO GET A JOB AND THEN HER OWN PLACE. SHE AND HER BOYFRIEND BROKE UP YESTERDAY (ASS##$#). I CANNOT SAY I AM SORRY ABOUT THAT. SO SHE IS STAYING HERE UNTIL SHE LEAVES ON AUGUST 11. SHE WILL BE BACK AND FORTH TO HIS PLACE WHILE HE IS AT WORK TO PACK UP HER STUFF.
ANYWAY, THAT'S IT FOR TODAY. BE WELL. DEBBIE

Our summer seemed to come to an end Aug. 1. It started raining and has rained steady since then, buckets of rain today. It has been really depressing and everything outside is totaly soaked, then the dogs run in and out to go potty and everything inside is covered with wet dog hair.
I\'ve not been keeping up well outside as is so if the rain continues I\'ll be in real trouble.

At least it\'s not as bad as up in Anchorage. It\'s raining cats and dogs there and windy. They are talking 40-50 MPH winds with gusts up to 75 MPH. We have been pretty calm around here today, was very windy the last two days and I hope they keep the crap up there. HOpe you get sunshine soon, Hugs

Well you are not alone. Between May and June wash outs and July heat my gardens are not at there best either. Not being able to tend them right now with hurt ribs does not help. Hubby is doing his best. he always steps up to the plate. You can only water so much before you give up. A lot of people are in the same shape. We haven\'t had one tomato, only a few grape ones. My dahlias are usualy knocks out by now and they are punny. My sister lives in Indiana and she is a master gardener and they have been rainless for 42 days and she is so upset. Her yard is a show piece. I guess we have to wait another year, p-----me off after the long wait then a crappy summer. I have to not think about it. I am going to Mexico for sure this winter. I have been saving my money. Can\'t wait till one of those tall dark and handsome waiters with the black spiked hair brings me a Bahama Mama while I lounge by the pool. Bad girl.

Darn kids, makes you wonder if they will ever get it straight. well believe it or not they do. Went through hell with sissy but it finally got better and so will Danielle. Hope this little stay doesn\'t create any problems.

I know you dread Hubby going, but it will be o.k. and he will return with blue fingers.

We were in the 90\'s all of July which was fine with me but everywhere you go it is air conditioned and my yard did suffer. We are expecting severe storms tonight. Good watering from Mother Nature.

I am laughing. Broke my glasses when the board knocked me down and am wearing an old pair...nice typo\'s. Good thing for Tiny Spell. Hugs Naomi xo
