Been a rough week; there's been a long heatwave with daily temperatures going above 100. I can't go outside except for a small window of time in the evening. I'm also finally facing college preparation after months of putting it off, beginning with a virtual orientation that lasted most of 2 days, which was incredibly draining. Thinking about college is overwhelming but necessary, there are still so many programs I need to learn about, questions I need to ask, things to buy, a course to complete. I'm still watching over my dog every day, he's become very clingy to me, and it's difficult to not get annoyed on top of my current mental state. My dads also staying home all this week to work from home, making me feel near constantly on edge at home. Finally, I haven't been able to see the two friends I've been hanging out with during quarantine. One has a long funeral process going on. Since I've been stuck at home with the dog, I can't see the other either as she can't come to my house.
The days feel depressing. But there are good things out there.

I'm so sorry I'm coming to this so late. I've been thinking about you, hoping you're feeling better! How is Rickie doing? Are you affected by the fires? When does school start? Will you be going in person or virtually? Many of the schools & colleges in my area are being plagued with many cases of covid because many of the students aren't practicing social distancing. Its' so hard to do, but I think its becoming critical. It's so hard not being able to spend time with our friends. It's been 6 1/2 months for me. I can only imagine how hard this is for you. Please post an update. Sending you los of love & light. oxo
