At UCLA
went to work this morning. Wasn’t one of my better days. Felt knocked around and feckless and just went with the flow. So I got my work done. Which I suppose could be a feather in my cap. I came here to UCLA for my quarterly appointment. The people are so young and vibrant and beautiful. The morning had left me so open and crestfallen that being around the folks here magnified my sense of age and weight. I don’t know what to hold onto but I think I will muster the strength to find things I can be proud of even so. Maybe I think I can try and focus on my own narrative rather than just be an invisible eye here taking in all the beauty. Have a good day guys! X

UCLA sounds like a cool place to people watch. I am enchanted with California. Enjoy the Cali sun.
Thanks Chris, lots of gorgeous Doctors and students....and sitting on a lovely bench in the sun outside the cafeteria patio. You’re right!’ It’s not half bad !!:)
In Arf World, your cap gets a bigger feather for surviving a bad day than for enjoying a good day. You have to pay a royalty fee for enjoying the good days. Those are a privilege.
I seldom pass a college campus without at least slowing down for a drive-by tour. They are pretty high on my list of favorite picnic spots. That stream of young and vibrant people hits my senses as the future on parade. I like pretending that *I* am one of the elder gurus sprinkled here and there throughout the parade. I love role playing games. . .
Tag, you're it. . .
Colleges are a cool place. People practicing their adult skills.
I do have the reoccurring nightmare that I never passed college and never got my degree. LOL I was a solid D student back in those days. I was a slacker, and a flake. hah
I appreciate the sentiment arfie!! And I have a nightmare recurring where I still have one project to finish for college. I got sick at the end of my school days and handed it in one year late. At my appointment now. Waiting to see the doctors:)
I also had issues in and after college.
Everybody looks like my grandchild....sigh..... Feckless.... Is that one of those words???....smile.... Big squishy hug....xo
It’s kind of typical for illness to happen at those times Chris! Strangely Jan I still feel like one of those kids! I have to remember I am not :)
