At home at mom's
This afternoon I moved to my mom's house in the anticipation for her surgery on Thursday at St. Anthony's hospital. Tomorrow I am hoping to bring her to the museum so I can show her what the actual knee will look like prior to being surgically placed. I think that she is somewhat nervous, but who wouldn't be. Luckily the museum I work for has a "cart" where people can learn things aside from the actual exhibit. We can't meet there tomorrow, but I think that Wednesday we are going to see the exhibit so she can get her hands on what will be replacing her original knee. I am nervous for here, there is a great risk in this surgery and it can be extremely painful. My trip to Durango was good. I enjoyed it as did both my brother and father. Although there was a drive that took us 7 hours. Now that we are back in Denver I am nervous to go back to school, isn't that bazaar? I keep thinking that horrible things are going to happen. I have a test a week from tomorrow. I had an appointment with my advisor this afternoon. I asked her if I failed this class, would it make a major dent in my GPA? She told me that now that I am in the middle of my scholastic career it will not affect it as much as it would if I were a freshman or sophomore. She told me that it might bring me down a point or two but I have a lot of padding in classes that can bring my GPA up to a 4.0 or higher. I am going to stop this shit! I am going to get through school as fast as possible and graduate and go into a career and try to break away from the arms of parents. They have taught me well and it is time, again, that I leave home to live on my own with new people and a new job. I need to create my life, to sculpt life for me!
