assessing the damage and starting over
I finally got up the nerve to get on the scale this morning and see how much damage I've done to myself while taking care of my mom and bro. I've gained 11 lbs in just under 2 weeks! All that work down the drain. It's so frustrating. I wish I knew how to handle stress without eating, or rather overeating. I wish there was some magic button I could push and I would eat like a normal person. The thing is that life will always have crisis situations coming up and I've got to learn to handle them with something other than food. I was doing so well, but then again that's the way it always happens; I do good for a while then some stressful situation comes up and I blow it. How do I get out of this cycle. I guess all I can do now is get back on the horse (or in this case the treadmill). It looks like our local curves has re-opened, so maybe I'll try that again.

I really do understand, lots of ppl here will. Am really glad you got on the scale, that took courage and honesty, and determination. You\'ve caught yourself early and are getting back on track, that\'s very excellent. I too haven\'t been eating well, gained back 2 pounds...didn\'t get online or be honest, told myself it was because of my period. Well, that\'s just about over, and the gain is still there on the scale (or rather on me). So I really appreciate your sharing this, am going to get back in gear with you. Take care:)
We are in the same boat....while on vacation, I gained 4 lbs in one week...all but 1 of the 5 lbs I lost in a mo of trying!
It is hard not to get discouraged, but maybe we can look at it this way...if we hadn\'t lost the weight previously....when your stress and my vacation came around, we would be fatter than ever, not just back to where we started!
So...time for me to get serious and get back on the horse myself...
