I took the opportunity to all some questions on a trucker's website called The Trucker's Report and I got the skinny on hauling paper. Turns out it's not so bad after all. Shippers and receivers have you in and out fairly quickly despite almost everything being live load and unload. This means I'll be able to make miles without worrying about being detained and running down my hours of service. This is really a relief because truck drivers always stress over finding a safe place to park at the end of their shifts.
