ARGH!!!! The Climbing!

Argh!!!  The climbing is driving me crazy!  Tonight I was getting supper ready, and I had pork n' beans and a bowl full of sliced cukes on the table, but I was getting the other stuff.  I can't see our dining area from our stove area.  Joey was in the living room.  Suddenly he called me to come around the corner, and when I poke my head around, what do I see??  Marlow, crouching on top the table, dipping cucumbers into the beans and eating them.  Now the war is on, we spent all night pulling her off the table, or off the chair on the way to the table, or away from the table period.  There is no way to block her access from the table.  And she has recentley discovered how to get her high chair tray off(there is an 'easy pull' button on the front) and she is always pulling it off and clambering into her chair.

She's on her table, it's a little one, she's trying to climb book shelves, she's using the kitchen drawers as a ladder and shimmy-ing up to the cupboard.  I'm thinking about calf roping her!

On the other hand, our dishwasher started working again, after I dumped a few litres of scalding hot water into it and let it sit.  And our garage door is behaving again also.  The toilet stopped leaking, and the dryer has started drying!  Maybe the appliances were just trying to remind me who was boss.  Them.

My dd climbs all the time too! I know what you mean. We have to watch her like a hawk because she gets into everything. Once they start they don\'t stop! They are like monkeys!!
Yay on your dishwasher working!

lol, thanks, I can\'t believe how much I missed that machine! I was hoping the climbing would only last a week or two :) I\'m guessing not since your LO is older then Mar I think and is still going at it!! I\'m so scared she\'s gonna take a tumble and crack her head like an egg....my heart skips a beat everytime I come around the corner to find her on something, and she\'s such a quiet climber to boot!

Hang in there! My cousin has twin boys and one of them is a climber. He toppled off of a floor to ceiling book shelf-from the top- and ended up with stitches in his head. My cousin told me that the climbing slowed down quite a bit after that. But what mother wants to go through that??!! Glad that all your appliances and devices are behaving again. There\'s always a positive somewhere! All the best.
