ARE YOU KIDDING ME???

"It was only a miscarriage, get up off your knees, dust them off, wait to periods and try again"...That is what was said to me by my B of a sister in law about the death of our son. REALLY...Coming from a woman that has 3 health boys and has never had the horrible experience of losing a child. Does she think that our little boy was just a throw away and can be replaced? I have NO idea what goes through peoples minds and how they can be so horribly insensative! If they do not know what to say, why don't they have enough decency to just shut their mouths and listen! Rage doesn't even describe my feelings right now towards her!  What in the living hell is wrong with some people?

I\'m sorry that you were treated this way. Hunter was just as much a child as her 3 healthy boys. He was very much alive.

I think sometimes people think that they are helping you by saying things like that, so don\'t be too hard on them. I also think that the death of a baby is so sad that people don\'t want to \"think\" too much about it because it\'s incredibly sad.

Try to focus on what little joy you find. His beautiful little body, those weeks you carried him, the love you have for him. This will help you get though the tough days.

My little Eleanna passed away in July and I\'m here to tell you it does get easier, and we are expecting our rainbows and that does help too, but you need to do what\'s right for you.

BTW any child born after 20 weeks is considered a still birth and at 23 weeks (in some cases) your baby could have lived (after being in the NICU for months) so it most certainly was not a miscarriage.

I\'m here if you need anything. Big ((hugs))

I agree with Mrsmarsh, any baby that is concieved is a gift and living no matter what. I can\'t believe she said that. we are here for you
