Are you doers or get others to do for you?
I'm usually one of those people that if I see something that needs to be done I do it if I can. If anything I tend to not ask for help even when I need it. This bothers me sometimes because I end up doing things that are not really my chores or things to do but those of others. But the people I do these things for either don't notice or expect me to do them.
I've been holding off doing things like this, tho. I'm leaving things I see undone at other's places so that they can do it. This is usually little normal things and no big deal. But this week they are having a curb side rubbish pick up. One of those bring out all your old crap and large tree trimmings and such and they take it away for free. We have known about it for about a month and they are coming this Wednesday. I've told my brother to go over to my sisters house (my parents old house) and clean out his junk he wants from the back yard and patio so I can take the junk out to get rid of it. There is also a bunch of junk in the garage that he should also take or throw away. I told him a month ago. I told him two weeks ago. I started taking out some obvious junk a week ago and I told him last Friday. Now he finally calls me and wants me to help him on Tuesday. THE LAST POSSIBLE DAY TO DO IT.
Not only this but one of our tenants called with a problem with their shower door and for some reason he needs me to go with him to fix it. I'm not even sure how it is possible for two people to do the job. It only takes one person to take off a shower door, putty it or whatever, drill new holes for the screws, etc... There isn't even room for two people. I have no idea how I'm supposed to help him or why he needs help with it.
Third he tells me there is some trees that need trimming or uprooting or soemthing at my sister's house. This is one of those things that if I had noticed I would have done something about it if possible probably would have spent alot more work on it than I should because my brother has all the tools and such. I wodlnt have called him unless it was completely out of my ability to do anything about it. I can't understand why he has to tell me about it and not jsut do it.
Usually when he does have mt come help him he neds up yelling at me or only telling me to do stupid things like picking up tools he dropped or getting them formt he car when he forgets them or some other dumb thing that he could have done himself. And when he does ask me to do womething he invariably comes around and has to tell me how I'm doing it wrong or should do it a different way or just takes whatever I am doing away form me and does it himself even tho he has other things to do and I was getting it done.
It is very frustrating.
